Job OpportunityShift: 7 PM - 7 AMUnit InformationLocation: Alexandria, LAUnit: Trauma/Ortho/Med-SurgNumber of Beds: 36Number of Staff: 49Day Shift: 1 Charge Nurse, 3 RNs, 3 LPNs, 3 PCTs, 1 SecretaryNight Shift: 1 Charge Nurse, 3 RNs, 3 LPNs, 3 PCTsPatient Ratios:Nurse to Patient Ratio: 6:1Equipment and EMRTypical equipment used on the unit includes:IV PumpsWound VacsSCD PumpsKangaroo PumpsChest TubesTelemetryPCA PumpsBipapsEpiduralsElectronic Medical Record (EMR) used on the unit.Qualifications and SkillsRequired Skills: Candidates must possess the following qualifications:Med-Surg ExperienceAbility to work as a Team PlayerCritical Thinking SkillsPreferred Skills: Candidates with the following skills will be prioritized:Prioritization SkillsTime Management SkillsTypical ProceduresCommon procedures performed in this unit include:Wound Vac ChangesWound CareIV InsertionsInsertion of Indwelling Foley CathetersPersonality FitThe ideal candidate will be:A willing team player.Certifications RequiredActive Nursing LicenseACLS CertificationBLS CertificationFloating AreasPotential floating areas include:6A3A3 South4 SouthDress CodeUniform requirements include:Ceil Blue ScrubsNo sweatshirtsNo crocsAdditional InformationSchedule details include:Every other weekend shiftsOn-call during low census periodsNumber of Positions Available: 1
