Sr Accountant

MSH has partnered with a leading, well-established building materials company to hire an experienced Senior Accountant for its corporate accounting team. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands‑on accounting professional who enjoys partnering with operations, improving processes, and supporting a complex, multi-location organization. About the Role The role will: Support month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting Manage inventory accounting across multiple locations Analyze P&L results and explain significant variances Partner closely with operations and plant leadership Support internal controls, SOX compliance, and audit requests Identify process improvements and drive efficiencies Mentor junior accounting and cash application team members Responsibilities Support month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting Manage inventory accounting across multiple locations Analyze P&L results and explain significant variances Partner closely with operations and plant leadership Support internal controls, SOX compliance, and audit requests Identify process improvements and drive efficiencies Mentor junior accounting and cash application team members Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting 5+ years of progressive accounting experience Strong experience with journal entries, reconciliations, inventory accounting, month-end close, and financial reporting Hands‑on SAP experience—required Experience supporting operations, plants, or multiple locations Strong communication skills and a proactive, improvement‑focused mindset Ability to work onsite in Deerfield Beach, FL Preferred Skills Experience in manufacturing, building materials, construction, cement, concrete, aggregates, or another heavy industry is strongly preferred. Public company, SOX, Hyperion, U.S. GAAP, or IFRS exposure is also valuable. A CPA is not required.
