Finance Intern

Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL) seeks motivated accounting or finance student for our Finance Intern position. The ideal candidate for this position will be able to work part-timeduring the school year and full-time during the summer in Spokane Valley WA . This program offers handson experience through rotations within various Accounting and Finance disciplines. As a Finance Intern a typical day might include the following:

• Support work in tax department preparing compliance supporting documentation and key metrics around business data and systems.
• Perform accounting functions document processes and assist with monthend close tasks.
• Work and collaborate with various stakeholders on projects including system testing and data sharing.
• Communicate with internal customers to provide tax guidance and education.
• Participate in research aligned with current tax laws.
• Contribute to special projects within the Accounting and Finance department.

• Are a current student pursuing a degree in Accounting or Finance at an accredited institution.
• Can commit to a minimum one-year internship including the summer term.
• Are motivated self-directed and eager to learn.
• Have strong writing documentation and communication skills.
• Are able to work independently as well as cooperatively in a team environment.
• Are able to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities.
• Have background check results satisfactory to SEL.
• Have negative drug test result(s).

Pay Range: ($21.50 - $24.25 per hour)* Our intern pay is determined based on the internship role (the work you would be doing) and your year in school (when you plan to graduate). Talk to your recruiter if you are curious about the rate for your year in school.
