Accounts Payable Manager

ABOUT THE ROLE We are a growing international distribution company headquartered in Suwanee, GA, and we're looking for an Accounts Payable Manager to lead our AP function through an exciting period of growth — including an upcoming ERP system implementation. Employee tenure here is exceptionally high, and we invest in people for the long term. This is a hybrid role (3 days in office) managing a team of 3 AP Coordinators. This is not a transactional position — we need a process-oriented leader who can drive invoice resolution, build scalable workflows, and develop their team's decision-making capabilities. WHAT YOU'LL DO Team Leadership Lead, mentor, and develop 3 AP Coordinators Train coordinators to make business decisions on invoice discrepancies — e.g., determining whether a difference should be written off, researched, or re-invoiced by the supplier Process & Invoice Management Own the daily and monthly reconciliation process for accrued invoices (inventory AP) Drive invoice resolution with operations teams and suppliers Identify and implement process improvements across the AP function ERP Implementation Play a key role in an upcoming ERP system implementation — contributing AP expertise, testing, and cross-functional coordination Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner with operations, procurement, and supply chain on invoice workflows Collaborate with the broader accounting and finance team on month-end close and accruals WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR Required 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including AP management General accounting knowledge: accruals, reconciliations, month-end close Experience managing and developing AP teams Strong process improvement mindset — you build systems, not just process transactions Comfortable working across operations, procurement, and supplier relationships Preferred Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance Inventory or distribution AP experience Experience in an international distribution environment COMPENSATION & BENEFITS Competitive base salary Profit sharing plan 401(k) with non-elective employer match 15 days PTO Comprehensive health, dental, and vision Hybrid schedule — 3 days in office, 2 days remote WHY THIS OPPORTUNITY This is a high-impact leadership role at a company that values its people — just look at the tenure.
