Travel Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) – Sacramento, CA Agency: United Health Care Staffing Pay: $1,800 to $2,000 per week Shift: Days – 5 days x 8 hours Contract Duration: 13 weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position Join a highly skilled surgical team in Sacramento, CA, as a Travel Certified Surgical Technologist. The role supports surgeons and operating room staff to ensure safe, efficient, and successful surgical procedures. This is a 13‑week travel assignment. Responsibilities Prepare operating rooms with sterile instruments, equipment, and surgical supplies before procedures Maintain a sterile field throughout surgical procedures Assist surgeons by passing instruments, supplies, and equipment during operations Perform surgical counts before, during, and after procedures to ensure patient safety Prepare, inspect, and maintain surgical instruments and equipment Anticipate the needs of the surgical team during procedures Assist with patient positioning, preparation, and transfer before and after surgery Handle surgical specimens according to facility policies and procedures Ensure compliance with infection prevention, sterilization, and patient safety standards Collaborate with surgeons, registered nurses, anesthesia providers, and operating room staff Assist with room turnover and preparation for subsequent surgical cases Requirements Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program Current Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential preferred or required per facility policy Minimum 2 years of recent Surgical Technologist experience Current BLS Certification required Experience in general surgery and multiple surgical specialties preferred Strong knowledge of sterile technique, surgical instrumentation, and operating room procedures Excellent communication and teamwork skills Ability to remain calm and organized in a fast‑paced surgical environment Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety Ability to stand for extended periods and assist during lengthy surgical procedures #J-18808-Ljbffr AlliedTravelCareers
