Senior Mechanical Engineer
Key Responsibilities
- System Design: Engineer advanced HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, ventilation, and temperature control systems.
- Project Management: Plan project resources, maintain tight schedules, and manage budgets efficiently.
- Client Relations: Lead client meetings, manage expectations, and oversee overall project delivery.
- Business Development: Utilize marketing, sales, and business development experience to grow the firm's portfolio.
- Modeling & Analysis: Perform life-cycle costing, computer HVAC modeling, and building simulation programs.
- Collaboration: Work independently and seamlessly across multidisciplinary internal and external teams.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) from an accredited institution.
- Experience: 5 to 10+ years of mechanical building systems design experience specifically within a consulting environment.
- Licensure:
- Current Professional Engineer (PE) license in at least one U.S. state OR actively on track to receive it as soon as eligible.
- Must be able to obtain a Kentucky (KY) PE registration via comity within 6 months of hire.
- Ability to attain PE licensure in other states via comity within a reasonable timeframe.
- Software Proficiency: Advanced skills in AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Communication: Excellent oral and written English communication skills with the ability to interface with clients and team members.
- Soft Skills: High level of organizational skills, sharp attention to detail, and superior time management.
- Core Drive: Strong motivation to exceed client expectations and a dedication to continuous professional growth.
