Job Description
We are looking for a Customer Service Representative to support daily delivery coordination for a logistics operation. This is a Contract position focused on assisting customers, monitoring active deliveries, and helping ensure timely communication between drivers, internal teams, and end customers. The ideal candidate is comfortable in a fast-paced office setting, can manage a high volume of updates, and brings strong communication and data entry skills.
Responsibilities:
• Monitor the status of approximately 40 delivery trucks throughout the day and keep records current as routes progress.
• Speak with customers to provide shipment updates, answer delivery-related questions, and address service concerns professionally.
• Adjust delivery appointments when needed and coordinate revised schedules with customers and delivery teams.
• Handle incoming calls related to order or delivery issues and work toward prompt, accurate resolution.
• Contact customers before scheduled deliveries to confirm appointment details and improve delivery readiness.
• Follow up after completed deliveries to gather feedback and encourage customers to share their experience through surveys.
• Enter and maintain order, delivery, and customer information accurately within company systems.
• Support front-office customer service operations in an on-site warehouse office environment and follow assigned work schedules provided in advance.
• Previous experience in customer service, call center support, dispatch coordination, or a similar fast-paced service role.• Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with customers, drivers, and internal teams.
• Solid data entry skills and careful attention to detail when updating delivery information.
• Basic Excel knowledge, including comfort with simple spreadsheet use without advanced formulas.
• Ability to manage multiple delivery updates and customer interactions at the same time.
• Comfortable working fully on site in Piscataway, New Jersey on a schedule that may include Monday through Saturday with one weekday off.
• Dependable attendance and flexibility to follow assigned shift times communicated in advance.
