About the Team Join Xpanner as our first foundational US finance leader and build the function from scratch. You will wear many hats, owning a rare and comprehensive scope that spans running day-to-day operations (controllership, treasury, tax) to spearheading our IPO-readiness program. This is a foundational leadership role where you get to design our financial systems, partner closely with our Korea HQ, and scale your own team. What You’ll Do How you’ll make impact: As the US Head of Finance, you will build the financial engine that drives Xpanner’s rapid growth and path to IPO. You will own a high-impact mandate: establishing our daily operating finance (ERP, controllership, treasury) and leading end-to-end IPO readiness. By aligning closely with our Korea HQ and scaling a specialized US team, you will construct the critical infrastructure needed for our next major milestone Core Responsibilities Controllership, Accounting & Tax US GAAP Close & Revenue: Own the monthly and quarterly close process, including complex revenue recognition across hardware and subscription/RaaS models (ASC 606). Cost & Inventory Accounting: Manage hardware COGS/BOM, inventory tracking, fixed-asset/capex accounting, and gross margin analysis. Financial Operations & Systems: Oversee AP/AR and payroll cycles while driving ERP sophistication, building internal controls, and supporting external audits. Tax & Transfer Pricing: Lead federal/multi-state tax compliance (Pillar 2, FIN 48), transfer pricing documentation, and R&D credits, directing external specialists as needed. Treasury & Financing Treasury Management: Direct cash and FX management, establish investment and borrowing policies, and implement a Delegation of Authority (DoA) matrix. Fleet & Corporate Financing: Manage bank credit facilities, equipment capital leases, and fleet financing strategies (ASC 842). Tax & Transfer Pricing: Lead federal/multi-state tax compliance (Pillar 2, FIN 48), transfer pricing documentation, and R&D credits, directing external specialists as needed. IPO & Public-Company Readiness Public-Company Reporting: Spearhead SEC-ready financial reporting, K-IFRS to US GAAP conversion, segment reporting, and fast-close (D+5–7) frameworks. SOX & Internal Controls: Design the Risk-Control Matrix and ITGCs, implement management review controls, and drive Section 404(a) readiness. Corporate Governance & Equity: Manage equity-compensation accounting (Carta), establish foundational governance (independent board readiness, SOX 301 whistleblower program), and help shape our equity story and metrics. What You’ll Bring Minimum Qualifications: Founder’s mentality: Proactive, adaptable, and comfortable building processes, policies, and teams in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. 7+ years experience as a Finance leader with ops-first controllership experience at a hard-tech, robotics, or manufacturing company. Deep US GAAP fluency across revenue recognition (ASC 606), cost / inventory accounting, and leasing (ASC 842). Hands-on experience with treasury, debt / leasing, and equipment or fleet financing. Preferred Qualifications: Direct experience leading or playing a key role in a US IPO or public-company readiness process. Proficient in Korean to be able to communicate with Korea HQ stakeholders Background in construction tech, construction equipment, or other capital-equipment businesses.
