This role requires a strong understanding of electrical codes, safety protocols, and the unique demands of renewable energy infrastructure. Job Responsibilities \* Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, conduit, equipment, and fixtures within solar arrays, wind turbines, and associated balance of plant systems. \* Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical diagrams to determine wiring layouts and equipment placement. \* Perform testing and troubleshooting of electrical systems to diagnose and resolve malfunctions. \* Connect power to various renewable energy components, including inverters, transformers, substations, and monitoring equipment. \* Ensure all electrical installations comply with relevant local, state, and federal electrical codes (e.g., NEC) and safety standards. \* Conduct preventative maintenance on electrical systems to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime. \* Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other trades to ensure seamless project execution. \* Operate a variety of hand and power tools safely and effectively. \* Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and system performance. \* Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, participating in safety meetings and training. Job Qualifications \* High School Diploma or GED required. \* Completion of an accredited electrical apprenticeship program or equivalent vocational training. \* Valid Journeyman Electrician license preferred; Master Electrician license a plus. \* Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a qualified electrician, with at least 1-2 years specifically in renewable energy (solar PV or wind preferred). \* Demonstrated knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and other relevant electrical safety standards. \* Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications. \* Experience with various electrical testing equipment (e.g., multimeters, megohmmeters, clamp meters). \* Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions. \* Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. \* Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. \* Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. \* OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred.
