This role involves ensuring the safe and efficient operation of electrical infrastructure in compliance with industry standards and regulations. Job Responsibilities:\*\* \* Install, connect, test, and maintain electrical systems for renewable energy installations, including solar arrays, wind turbines, inverters, and battery storage systems. \* Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical diagrams to determine wiring layouts, power distribution, and equipment placement. \* Perform troubleshooting and diagnostic tests to identify and resolve electrical malfunctions, short circuits, and system failures. \* Inspect and maintain electrical components such as transformers, switchgear, generators, and control panels. \* Ensure all electrical work adheres to local, state, and federal electrical codes, safety regulations (e.g., OSHA, NEC), and company safety protocols. \* Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other trades to ensure timely completion of projects and effective communication of progress and issues. \* Conduct preventative maintenance on electrical systems to maximize efficiency and extend equipment lifespan. \* Prepare and maintain detailed records of electrical installations, maintenance activities, and repairs. \* Operate and maintain various electrical tools, equipment, and testing devices safely and effectively. \* Participate in safety meetings and contribute to a strong safety culture on job sites. Job Qualifications:\*\* \* High School Diploma or GED required. \* Completion of an accredited electrician apprenticeship program or equivalent vocational training. \* Valid Journeyman Electrician license or equivalent certification relevant to the state of employment. \* Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as an electrician, with at least 1-2 years specifically in renewable energy projects (solar, wind). \* Thorough understanding of AC/DC electrical theory, power generation, and distribution systems. \* Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals. \* Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and other relevant electrical safety standards. \* Ability to troubleshoot complex electrical issues using various testing equipment (e.g., multimeters, oscilloscopes). \* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective collaboration and documentation. \* Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in various weather conditions. \* Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record. \* OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred. \* Experience with SCADA systems and monitoring platforms for renewable energy assets is a plus.**Company Overview:**Primoris Renewable Energy, a business within Primoris Services Corporation’s Energy segment, is a leading power generation engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) provider specializing in utility and commercial scale solar power, energy storage, solar repower, and operations and maintenance.
