Warehouse Team Lead – Apopka, FL Ryder is hiring a Warehouse Team Lead in Apopka, FL to manage daily warehouse operations, drive continuous improvement, and lead a team of associate operators. Compensation & Schedule Hourly Pay: $21.95 per hour Additional Pay: $1.00 per hour for 3rd shift Schedule: Third Shift Sunday–Wednesday 5:00 pm – 5:00 am, every other Wednesday 5:00 pm – 5:00 am Benefits Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k) with company match; coverage starts after 30 days Paid Training and Support Paid Time Off Employee Stock Purchase Plan – 15 % Employee Discount Employee Discounts on tools, cars, hotels, electronics, travel, and more Safety Gear Provided Focus on continuous improvement and safety Responsibilities Lead and ensure continuous improvement efforts for optimal efficiency of operations. Perform warehouse functions including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting. Allocate resources and organize daily work duties for the team. Inspire and guide team members toward improved KPIs using appropriate leadership styles. Assist in orienting employees and providing necessary tools and technology. Promote health and safety working methods within the warehouse. Handle day‑to‑day paperwork such as picking sheets, returns, and bills of lading. Complete and submit daily reports and propose action plans to enhance operations and service levels. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications High‑school diploma or equivalent preferred. One year or more powered industrial truck experience preferred. One year or more previous team‑lead experience preferred. One year or more Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word) experience preferred. One year or more previous warehouse experience preferred. Knowledge and/or experience with an advanced RF scanner required. Valid forklift operator’s license certified. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Effective leadership skills. Flexibility to work in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Performs work independently with minimal supervision. Excellent organizational skills. Proactively approaches responsibilities. Maintains composure under pressure. Work using health and safety methods. Bilingual (for Quebec locations only).
