Travel MRI Technologist - Magnetic Resonance Imaging

American Traveler is hiring an MRI Technologist with 2+ years of clinical experience and ARRT MR or ARMRIT certification for a Level I Trauma academic hospital setting.

Job Details

• MRI Tech unit at a Magnet-designated, Level I Trauma academic teaching hospital,
• Day/Evening shifts with 8 and 12-hour schedules,
• Primary schedule Friday/Saturday/Sunday/Monday,
• Friday and Monday 8-hour day shifts starting between 6:30-8:30 AM,
• Saturday and Sunday 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM,
• No on-call requirements,
• Holiday coverage as needed,
• Travelers required to float as needed,
• GE MRI equipment and PACS imaging system used,
• Epic charting system preferred,

Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of clinical MRI experience required,
• ARRT Magnetic Resonance (MR) certification or ARMRIT certification required,
• AHA BLS certification required,
• Graduate of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology required,
• License required if applicable,
• Level I Trauma experience required; Level II Trauma experience preferred,
• Teaching hospital experience preferred,
• Skills in abdomen/pelvis, head/neck, chest, spine, musculoskeletal, and cardiovascular MRI imaging required,
• Experience with special imaging procedures including CINE, diffusion, gradient echo, MIP, MRP, and spin/T1/T2 weighted images,
• Proficiency in contrast media preparation/administration and peripheral IV starts,
• Knowledge of isolation precautions, PPE, and radiation safety required,
• Must be able to communicate independently and confidently with inpatient and ED teams,

Additional Information

• Candidates must live 50+ miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted,
• Pass/fail telemetry exam required prior to start with strict passing criteria for both adult and pediatric rhythm identification,
• Two attempts allowed to pass the telemetry exam, with a cardiac interpretation review course required before a third attempt,
• Parking permit required for onsite parking, with alternative transportation options available,
• First-time travelers may be considered
