3rd Shift Break Press OperatorMetalworking is looking to add a 3rd Shift Break Press Operator to our 3rd Shift!The Brake Press Operator is primarily responsible for forming/bending parts on a CNC Brake Press to meet blueprint specifications, keeping up with production schedules, and meeting quality requirements. They will also perform set-up procedures on simple to moderately complex part runs.Essential Duties And Responsibilities:Form parts utilizing CNC Press Brake equipment, assuring quality and productivityUsing inspection devices to inspect parts, according to print and product inspection plan. Spot-check quality of work by periodically, and visual inspectionMeasures work, using rule, gauges, calipers and templatesWill be trained to learn set-up procedures on simple to moderately complex partsDetermine correct tooling to form parts to specifications based on material type, thickness, bend radius, and part geometry.Generate programs at machine controller on simple to moderately complex parts.Know and enforce all safety rules and regulations.Responsible in reading and interpreting blue printsMaking small, mathematically calculated, angle and dimensional correctionsOrienting the part correctly according to projected view on blueprintFollow all safety rules and remain safety conscious at all times by understanding safety requirements in every area, and complying. Provide suggestions for improvement.Following Press Brake process standard operating proceduresProcess improvement ideas are always welcomedAccurately entering quantities of production pieces and inspection results into the computerMachine Operator Preventative MaintenancePhysical Demands:Must be able to lift up to 70 pounds regularly, stand for the entire shift, bend, squat, twist and turn.Work Environment:The employee in this role will be working indoors, in an industrial manufacturing environment. The employee will regularly be exposed to noise levels requiring hearing protection, moving equipment and mechanical parts. The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.Minimum Qualifications:Experience: 3 or more years of experience as Brake Press Operator requiredAbility to read router packets, understand and follow all instructions givenMust be proficient in reading and interpreting blue prints and shop drawingsAdvanced knowledge of brake press operations is a plusFamiliarity with the use dial calipers, square and various measuring equipmentBasic math knowledgeLicensures and Certifications: NoneEducation: High School graduate or equivalent.
