Job Overview

Androscoggin Valley Hospital is looking for an experienced OR RN with strong circulating and PACU experience . This is a broad surgical-services position with a wide variety of cases.

The biggest thing to emphasize to candidates is that PACU experience is required in addition to OR circulating experience.

Surgical Cases

The nurse must have experience with:

• General Surgery
• GI
• OBGYN
• Orthopedics
• ENT
• Urology
• Cataracts
• Podiatry

Scrub experience is a plus but is not required.

Experience Requirements

Required:

• OR circulating experience
• PACU experience
• Experience across the listed surgical specialties
• Active NH RN license

Preferred:

• Previous travel experience
• Scrub experience

?? Call Requirement

Call is a significant part of this assignment:

• 1 weekday of call per week , rotating
• Weekday call: 3:30 PM–7:00 AM
• Every 5th weekend
• Weekend call: Friday 3:30 PM ? Monday 7:00 AM

So I'd make sure a nurse understands that this isn't simply a straight 8-hour day assignment — call is required.
