Job DescriptionJob DescriptionSummaryUnder direction of the VP of Manufacturing, the Plant Manager is accountable for ensuring all operational metrics are achieved in the areas of safety, quality, delivery and efficiencies for assigned plant, providing superior customer service to all internal and external customers. Leads and develops the shop leadership team.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesThis list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time.Manages all the shop’s day to day operationsCoaches and motivate employees to the highest production levels that will exceed customer expectationsAssesses all staff members, schedules, and makes sure all follow SSi’s core valuesCompletes 30/90/180 employee annual reviewsCollaborates with HR team in determining new hiresHandles employee call-ins and documenting appropriatelyAssists maintenance team on all equipment at shop: Paint line, drilling, plasma machines, forkliftsEvaluates processes and methods, recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment, performance, utilization of people, and quality of product.Takes ownership of production schedules. Ensure customer’s needs are being met.Participates in planning meetings, recommends space, personnel, and equipment requirements.Develops, recommends, and implement departmental policies and procedures, processes, and methods.Collaborates with Project Managers, Engineering and Procurement and provide timely and accurate information and feedback.Ability to effectively manage multiple projects/initiatives with budget limits and time constraints.Completes all required paperwork (quality charts, production charts, logbook, etc.)Acts as an owner and steward of company’s product quality by ensuring that systems are in place to protect the company brand and enhance customer and consumer satisfaction.Provides, promote and maintain a safe and healthy workplace for members, which is compliant with all OSHA and other regulatory standards.Oversees compliance with applicable governmental regulations.QualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Ability to write reports, procedure manuals, and correspondence. Ability to communicate effectively with customers, vendors and other employees of the organization. Bilingual English/Spanish helpful, but not required.Supervisory ResponsibilitiesCarry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
