Data Analyst

M.S. Hall & Associates is seeking a detail-oriented, analytical, and self-directed Data Analyst to help turn healthcare-related data into actionable insights for clients and internal teams. This role supports decision-making through collection, organization, and transformation of data, with collaboration across the organization and occasional client interaction. Based in Syracuse, NY with hybrid flexibility, the position includes a schedule of Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM , with occasional late nights or weekends during busy periods. You will work independently while staying aligned with broader project goals and communicating clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. What You’ll Do Collect, organize, and transform healthcare-related data into meaningful insights for clients and internal decision-making. Collaborate with internal team members to support ongoing work. May interact with clients via email, phone, and virtual or in-person meetings. Work independently while supporting colleagues and contributing positively to workplace culture. Use sound judgment to identify issues, develop solutions, and elevate when appropriate. Manage multiple assignments by shifting priorities and meeting deadlines effectively. Maintain strong attention to detail while keeping awareness of overall project goals. Communicate clearly and professionally with internal teams and clients. Demonstrate dependable follow-through and comfort with changing direction, tight timelines, new assignments, and constructive feedback. Requirements Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Mathematics, Business Intelligence, Information Systems, Information Management Technology, Data Analytics, or a related field. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including complex formulas, pivot tables, data manipulation, and analysis. Working knowledge of MySQL , including querying, analyzing, and interpreting data. Strong analytical skills with the ability to work with large or complex datasets, identify trends and inconsistencies, and surface opportunities. Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences. Must be eligible to work in the United States . Technologies Microsoft Excel MySQL PHP Python R Nice-to-Have Skills Programming experience with PHP, Python, R, or similar languages. Statistical analysis and data modeling. Experience with healthcare data, reimbursement, or financial workflows. Exposure to EMR/EHR systems. Knowledge of accounting or finance principles. Experience with large datasets or automated or standardized reporting. Compensation & Location Salary: USD 55,000 - 62,000 per year. Work location: Hybrid remote in Syracuse, NY 13202 .
