Minimum 6 months Paraprofessional or Special Education experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Embark on a rewarding contract role supporting students through the Extended Learning Opportunities Program (ELOP) in a school setting near San Marcos, CA. As a Paraprofessional and Behavioral Health Assistant, your focus will be providing crucial 1:1 support to pediatric students with behavioral needs before and after regular school hours.
Your compassion and reliability will make a meaningful difference as you foster positive learning experiences and encourage personal growth in students who benefit from additional guidance.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience as a paraprofessional, or background working in behavioral health, special education, or school settings
- Confidence and comfort working 1:1 with students who have behavioral or special education needs
- Ability to support with activities of daily living, including assisting with toileting as needed
- Strong communication skills and a patient, flexible attitude
- Availability to work contracted dates from August 11, 2026, through June 3, 2027
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
- Providing direct 1:1 behavioral support to assigned students in before and after school ELOP programs
- Supporting individual learning plans and behavior intervention strategies
- Collaborating with lead teachers, specialists, and families for student success
- Maintaining a safe, positive, and encouraging environment for students
- Offering assistance with personal care and daily activities, ensuring student comfort and dignity
Work Schedule:
- Morning: 6:30 AM–8:00 AM
- Afternoons:
- Mondays: 1:00 PM–6:00 PM
- Tuesday–Friday: 2:18 PM–6:00 PM
Compensation
