Job OpportunityWe are seeking a Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) for a challenging and rewarding position in a dynamic neurology unit. This role requires a minimum of one year of telemetry nursing experience, with a willingness to learn about neurology. The unit provides care for post-surgical neurology patients and those with various neurological diagnoses.Shift DetailsShift Type: Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00)Weekend Requirements: Every other weekendOn-Call Requirements: NoFloat Between Units: YesKey ResponsibilitiesProvide high-quality nursing care to patients in a telemetry unit.Utilize the NIH stroke scale and manage patient care for post-surgical neurology patients.Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.Participate in patient education and advocate for patient needs.Ensure compliance with all hospital policies and procedures.Patient Care DetailsPatient Age Groups: VariousDaily Census: Approximately 48 patientsUnit Designation: Designated stroke unit with thrombectomy capabilities.Required QualificationsMinimum of 1 year of telemetry nursing experience.Familiarity with the NIH stroke scale.ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications.Comfortable in caring for a variety of neurological conditions.Proficient in telemetry and able to interpret dysrhythmias.Preferred SkillsExperience in managing BiPAP/CPAP and chest tubes.Knowledgeable in pre/post neurosurgery care.Ability to administer and monitor procedural sedation.Experience with spinal cord injury and traumatic brain injury patients.LocationThis position is located in a Short Term Acute Care hospital, classified as a Level II Trauma Center, situated in [City, State].Application InformationApplicants are encouraged to apply and will be required to provide two references covering one year of experience within the last three years.
