Schedule: Day shift, 7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. (September 18-19)

Highlights:

• Manage approximately 10-20 inpatient SICU and trauma patients per shift
• Work in a 10-bed Surgical ICU at a Level I or Level II Trauma Center
• Collaborate with a dedicated trauma Advanced Practice Provider team
• Respond to trauma activations as part of the clinical team
• Direct EMR documentation with Cerner electronic medical records system
• Lighter day shifts with Acute Care Surgeon support on the floor

Requirements:

• Board Eligible or Board Certified in General Surgery and Surgical Critical Care
• Active ATLS certification required
• Level I or Level II Trauma Center experience required
• Active Arizona medical license and DEA (IMLC candidates will be considered)
• Comfortable treating patients of all ages, including pediatrics
• COVID-19 and Flu vaccinations required (medical/religious exemptions considered)

Clinical Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive care for Surgical ICU patients
• Manage trauma patients in the Step-Down Unit and medical-surgical floors
• Collaborate effectively with Nurse Practitioners and Advanced Practice Providers
• Complete all clinical documentation directly in the electronic medical record
• Participate in trauma activations as needed
