This contract role offers a dynamic blend of direct student support and collaborative team work within an itinerant service model, supporting schools in the Greenwood, SC area. Transition from a 3-day workweek in the fall to a 4-day schedule starting in January, with varied settings and impactful interactions shaping your professional journey.

Key Qualifications and Preferred Experience:

• Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist in South Carolina (or eligibility to obtain)
• Background in school-based OT service delivery
• Familiarity with an itinerant service model, supporting students across multiple sites
• Experience or willingness to supervise Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs)
• Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills
• Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and families

Essential Responsibilities:

• Provide occupational therapy services to students per IEPs, focusing on supporting academic participation and daily functioning
• Travel between assigned schools, efficiently managing a flexible caseload
• Develop, implement, and update individualized treatment plans and progress reports
• Supervise and collaborate with COTAs, providing mentoring and oversight
• Participate in IEP meetings, evaluations, and multidisciplinary discussions
• Consult with teachers, support staff, and families, offering strategies for student success in academic and functional skills
