ABOUT THE FIRM Boswell Law Firm PLLC is a boutique family law and probate practice serving Harris, Galveston, Fort Bend, Chambers, and Brazoria counties from our Clear Lake office. We are a small, close-knit team dedicated to our mission of empowering clients to find peace in the chaos of their legal matters. We're looking for an experienced paralegal to join our team and help us continue delivering exceptional client service. POSITION SUMMARY We are seeking a full-time Paralegal with hands-on experience in family law and/or probate matters. This role works directly with our attorney and support staff to manage active litigation and probate files from intake through resolution, including drafting, discovery, court filings, and client communication. Prior experience in a fast-paced Texas family law or probate practice is strongly preferred. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, and other legal documents for family law and/or probate matters Prepare and organize trial and hearing exhibits, binders, and witness materials Manage case files and deadlines in MyCase, ensuring accuracy and timely follow-up E-file documents through e-File Texas and monitor court dockets Communicate professionally and compassionately with clients, opposing counsel, and court staff Coordinate discovery, subpoenas, and third-party records requests Assist with probate administration tasks, including inventories, accountings, and court filings Support the attorney in trial and hearing preparation Maintain firm systems, checklists, and SOPs to keep case work organized and on schedule QUALIFICATIONS Minimum 2+ years of paralegal experience in family law and/or probate (Texas experience strongly preferred) Working knowledge of Texas family law and/or probate procedure and terminology Experience with e-filing through e-File Texas Familiarity with case management software (MyCase experience a plus) Strong writing, organizational, and time-management skills Ability to handle sensitive client matters with professionalism, discretion, and empathy Comfortable working in a small-office, high-accountability environment Paralegal certificate or equivalent experience preferred DETAILS Job Type Full-time, in-office Location 17625 El Camino Real, Suite 480, Houston, TX 77058 (League City / Clear Lake area) Practice Areas Family Law and Probate Reports To Duana Boswell-Loechel, Owner & CEO HOW TO APPLY Please submit a resume and cover letter to View email address on click.appcast.io with the subject line "Paralegal Application."
