Metal Fabrication Machine Operator Location: Cocoa Beach, FL Job Type: Contract-to-Hire Shift: 1st Shift Starting Pay: From $27.00/hour, with higher pay available based on experience. Job Overview We are seeking a skilled Metal Fabrication Machine Operator to join a manufacturing team. In this role, you will operate fabrication equipment to cut, shape, and form metal components while ensuring quality workmanship and a safe work environment. \n Responsibilities Operate press brakes, shears, and other fabrication equipment to process structural steel and miscellaneous metal products. Read and interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings, shop prints, and work orders. Measure, mark, and lay out materials using tape measures, squares, levels, and other precision measuring tools. Inspect completed parts to verify quality standards and dimensional accuracy. Move materials safely throughout the facility using forklifts and overhead cranes. Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused work area. Qualifications At least 2 years of experience operating press brakes, shears, or similar fabrication equipment preferred. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and fabrication drawings. Experience working with structural steel or miscellaneous metal fabrication. Proficient with measuring, layout, and precision hand tools. Forklift and overhead crane experience is preferred. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing quality work and following safety procedures. \n
