IT Technician

Job Title: Onsite IT Technician

Location Requirements: On-Site in Las Vegas, Nevada

Job Type: Contract To Hire (6 Months)

Role Overview:
You will provide technical support for computers, tablets, mobile devices, network systems, and other communications equipment. Your role involves delivering timely, courteous support for hardware and software issues. You will coordinate and support multiple office locations and work closely with internal teams and third-party vendors to ensure excellent customer service.

Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot and resolve computer workstation issues, both software and hardware related
• Enact manufacturer warranties for equipment repair
• Maintain and update ServiceNow tickets daily with detailed notes on resolution
• Help divisions prepare and coordinate project plans for technology equipment installation in sales centers and field offices
• Resolve printer and copier issues across the division
• Arrange and coordinate technical support for meetings and events, including video conferencing and traditional audio/visual needs
• Maintain, upgrade, install, and replace hardware and software as required
• Report server downtime and LAN/WAN connectivity issues immediately to the manager and helpdesk team
• Perform basic LAN/WAN troubleshooting under the direction of the telecommunications or network team
• Provide a weekly status report to the Onsite IT Manager summarizing activities and outstanding issues
• Monitor and help coordinate activities of third-party support contractors
• Provide guidance, feedback, and support to other technicians within the organization
• Conduct local commute within a 2-hour radius of the division office and occasional travel (up to 25%) to remote offices within the United States

Required Qualifications:

• Strong experience in onsite IT support, desktop support, or a related technical role
• Understanding of technology standards in area of responsibility, working with minimal supervision
• Ability to perform complex, structured requests to install or configure systems
• Ability to solve a range of straightforward problems and analyze solutions using standard procedures
• Understanding of how changes impact the business and other IT functions, and how change management is achieved
• Sound judgment on when and to whom issues should be escalated
• Developing understanding of IT strategy and its relationship to the assigned area
• Ability to act as a resource for less experienced colleagues
• Strong working relationships with leadership and team; positive, solutions-oriented attitude
• Adaptable to change, with a creative approach to problem-solving
• Integrity, ethics, and a collaborative teamwork mindset
• High school diploma

Desired, But Not Required:

• Knowledge of CompTIA A+ or equivalent IT certifications
