Job Opportunities Use the Government Jobs tab to search through your municipality's employment opportunities. High school diploma or equivalent; Associates Degree is preferred; and three (3) years as Journeyman electrician on a variety of construction and installation jobs; at least one (1) year as Master Electrician and Certifications by The International Code Council and other recognized organizations, Residential and Commercial Building, Residential and Commercial Mechanical, Residential and Commercial Plumbing and Gas, NABCEP (solar), and others pertaining to the department responsibilities; or any equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be a Journeyman or Master licensed electrician issued by the State of Arkansas. Must be licensed as an Electrical Inspector by the State of Arkansas within 6 months after hire. Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record. The Electrical Inspector will not be permitted to engage in the electrical trade or to be associated with any contractor or phase of construction. Special Requirements DRUG TESTINGAll applicants are subject to pre-employment drug testing; individual in this position will be subject to random drug & alcohol testing.
