Legal Assistant Paralegal

A well-established law firm in Dallas is seeking a motivated Legal Assistant Paralegal to support a busy insurance defense practice. This role is ideal for someone looking to grow their career in a fast-paced legal environment — prior insurance defense experience is preferred but not required for the right candidate. About the Role This position involves providing administrative support to attorneys practicing in insurance defense litigation. Responsibilities Provide administrative support to attorneys practicing in insurance defense litigation Draft, revise, and format legal documents, pleadings, correspondence, and discovery File documents electronically in Texas state and federal courts Maintain attorney calendars, schedule hearings, depositions, and meetings Coordinate case files and track litigation deadlines Communicate professionally with clients, courts, opposing counsel, and vendors Assist with trial preparation, including exhibit organization Process incoming and outgoing mail, emails, and legal correspondence Enter attorney time and assist with billing as needed Qualifications 1+ year of experience in a legal environment (insurance defense or litigation a plus) Familiarity with Texas court filing procedures and e-filing preferred Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel) Strong organizational and communication skills Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment High attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality Required Skills Experience supporting multiple attorneys Familiarity with legal billing or case management software is a plus Professional demeanor and strong interpersonal skills Eagerness to learn and grow within the firm Pay range and compensation package Compensation details are not specified in the provided job description.
