PySpark Data Engineer

TSR Consulting is currently seeking a highly motivated PySpark Data Engineer for a Hybrid opportunity in Rutherford, NJ Duration: 6+ Months Location: Rutherford, NJ (Hybrid) We are looking for an experienced PySpark Data Engineer with 7–10 years of experience to build and maintain scalable data pipelines and big data solutions. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in PySpark, Python, Apache Spark, SQL, and cloud data platforms. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and optimize ETL data pipelines using PySpark. Build scalable data processing solutions using Apache Spark (PySpark). Work with large datasets to support analytics, reporting, and machine learning. Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business teams to deliver data solutions. Implement data quality checks, monitoring, and performance optimization. Troubleshoot and resolve data pipeline issues. Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and documentation. Required Skills Strong hands‑on experience with Python and PySpark. Expertise in Apache Spark (Spark SQL, Spark Streaming, DataFrame API). Experience with ETL, data warehousing, and dimensional modeling. Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, HDFS, and Hive. Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP, including services such as S3, ADLS, Google Cloud Storage, EMR, Databricks, or AWS Glue. Experience with Git for version control. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
