Accounting Associate

We are seeking an Accounting Associate to join Talos' fast-growing, tech-focused Financial Operations team. This is a hands-on role supporting core accounting processes, financial reporting, and day-to-day operations. The position is well-suited to someone looking to build and deepen their accounting expertise while contributing to a dynamic digital assets and financial services environment.

Responsibilities

* Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes

* Prepare balance sheet and P&L reconciliations

* Prepare and record journal entries

* Record invoices and support the order-to-pay cycle

* Assist in the preparation of financial statements in line with US GAAP

* Support treasury activities as needed

* Assist in preparing audit support and responding to auditor requests

* Support system implementations and upgrades, including accounting and finance ERPs

Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Accounting, Finance, or related field

* 1-2 years of relevant accounting experience

* CPA or progress toward CPA preferred

* Experience supporting financial reporting and close cycles preferred

* Experience in SaaS, software, or financial services environments preferred

* Strong attention to detail with a hands-on, proactive approach

* Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities

* Strong written and verbal communication skills

* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel

* Experience with accounting/finance ERP (SAGE) systems highly desirable
