Structured as a matrix organization of six geographical regions and ten platforms, Louis Dreyfus Company is active in over 100 countries and employs approximately 18,000 people globally.The Utilities Operator is responsible for monitoring and operating plant boilers including all auxiliary equipment, responding to equipment issues or alarms, works in a safe and clean manner ensuring work area is kept clean and free from all safety hazards, and reports to the Utilities Supervisor. Excellent written, documentation and verbal communication skills, as well as a willingness to work a rotating shift schedule is required.Primary Responsibilities/Essential Functions:Monitor and operate plant boilers including all ancillary equipment in the facility, such as Water Treatment Systems, Air Compressors, Wastewater Treatment Systems, and Refrigeration SystemsRespond to equipment issues or alarms; investigates and initiates resolutionEnsures compliance with Company safety rules and wears proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPEs) as required in fulfillment of assigned responsibilitiesAdditional responsibilities include monitoring and adjustment of the water treatment plant, and cooling tower water quality and the operation of the Deodorizer vacuum system refrigeration system.Work in an organized, safe, and clean manner, ensuring work area is kept clean and free from all safety hazardsAdditional Responsibilities/Functions:Ensures work area is kept free from safety hazards which require regular bending and occasional lifting.
