Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced, resourceful, and tech-savvy HR Generalist for an onsite temp-to-hire opportunity in Tewksbury, MA. This position is ideal for a well-rounded HR professional who can work independently and confidently support benefits administration, payroll, HRIS, recruiting, and day-to-day employee HR needs .

The ideal candidate will be a strong problem solver who does not need constant direction, is comfortable researching and resolving issues independently, and can serve as a reliable HR resource for both employees and management.

Key Responsibilities

Benefits Administration

• Manage day-to-day benefits administration, with self-funded benefits experience highly preferred .
• Assist employees with benefit questions, enrollment, eligibility, and general benefits guidance.
• Support and coordinate open enrollment , including system setup, employee communications, benefits education, and enrollment troubleshooting.
• Ensure employee benefit elections are accurately reflected within the HRIS and applicable vendor systems.
• Manage and reconcile monthly benefit billing , including consolidated invoices.
• Identify discrepancies and variances, research issues, and coordinate corrections directly with benefit vendors.

HRIS & Paycom Support

• Utilize HRIS systems to maintain accurate employee and benefits information.
• Monitor systems and proactively identify issues or discrepancies.
• Research and troubleshoot HRIS-related problems independently.
• Work directly with Paycom support when necessary to resolve system issues.
• Learn and become proficient in Paycom with provided training.
• Ensure employee information and HR transactions are accurately maintained within the system.

Payroll Support

• Provide hands-on support with payroll administration and processing.
• Research and troubleshoot payroll discrepancies or employee payroll concerns.
• Independently work through payroll-related issues and coordinate corrections when necessary.
• Partner with internal departments and vendors to ensure payroll information is accurate and timely.

Full-Cycle Recruiting

• Manage the full-cycle recruiting process from sourcing and screening through interviews, offers, and onboarding.
• Recruit across a broad range of positions, including warehouse, operations, administrative, professional, and management-level roles .
• Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and candidate requirements.
• Maintain accurate candidate records and recruiting activity within the HRIS/ATS.
• Provide a professional and positive candidate experience throughout the hiring process.

General HR Support

• Serve as a knowledgeable and approachable HR resource for employees and management.
• Assist with employee questions, HR processes, policies, and general workplace matters.
• Research HR-related issues and independently identify appropriate solutions.
• Maintain confidential employee information and accurate HR documentation.
• Assist with additional HR projects and responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications

• Previous HR Generalist or similar hands-on HR experience required.
• Strong benefits administration experience; self-funded benefits experience highly preferred .
• Solid understanding of open enrollment and monthly benefits billing/reconciliation .
• Strong payroll experience with the ability to troubleshoot payroll-related issues.
• Full-cycle recruiting experience required , including recruiting for warehouse/operations through management-level positions.
• Experience working with HRIS platforms; Paycom experience is highly preferred , but candidates with strong HRIS experience and the ability to learn Paycom quickly will be considered.
• Must be tech-savvy, resourceful, and comfortable troubleshooting systems .
• Ability to communicate directly with HRIS and benefits vendors to resolve issues.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and operate independently with minimal supervision.
