Department: BGMC Radiology – Diagnostic Location: Buffalo General Medical Center, Buffalo, NY Work Type: Part-Time Schedule: 7 p.m.–7 a.m. Shift3 Job Description To provide care, preparation and positioning of patients to obtain high quality diagnostic images utilizing ionizing radiation. Education and Credentials AAS – Associate of Applied Science – Radiologic Technology or graduate of an approved ARRT Certification program is required. 1 Am Reg Of Rad Tech (ARRT R) within 90 days required. Radiology Technologist within 90 days required. NYS Cert For IV Contrast Admin within 90 days required for BGMC Radiology Joint & Spine only. ARRT – R must be current and maintained for any employees hired/transferred effective6/12/12. Rad Tech Limited Permit is required upon hire/transfer. Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days from hire or transfer is required. Existing Imaging Technologists as of11/10/2020 will have until8/31/2021 to obtain their BLS. Experience 1 year of experience in a Rad Tech position is preferred.
