Summary

Provides services related to the recruitment, orientation, continuing education, and support functions for the Nurse Residency and RN Fellowship Programs.

Responsibilities

Collaborates and rounds with individual hospital Directors of Education and program coordinators to assess learning needs and provide program support. Represents MHS or facility specific Nurse Residency and RN Fellowship Programs in external recruiting events as assigned. Participates in the development, coordination, and delivery of specialty program orientation, competency evaluation, and seminar presentations. Participates in research activities, quality improvement, or evidence-based practice initiatives. Designs, facilitates and assesses learning activities in MTC or facility specific Simulation Center.

Additional Job Information

Complexity of Work: Requires critical thinking skills, effective communication skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Required Work Experience: Three (3) years of nursing experience. Other Information: Specialty Certification preferred. Department specific: Joe DiMaggio Children's hospital- BLS Instructor- obtain within 6 months of hire if not already certified. Additional Education Info: Masters Degree Nursing required within Five (5) years of hire.
