Reporting directly to the Corporate Controller, you'll play a key role in maintaining the integrity of financial reporting, supporting month-end close activities, analyzing financial performance, and contributing to strategic initiatives across the organization.

Title: Staff – Senior Accountant (depending on experience

Location: Westport, CT

Potential Compensation: $70,000 to $90,000

Responsibilties:

\n
• Prepare, review, and analyze monthly financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports
\n
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance
\n
• Perform financial analysis and variance reporting to support business decisions
\n
• Participate in monthly financial reviews and provide insights into operational performance
\n
• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed
\n
• Assist with tax compliance, reporting requirements, and audit requests
\n
• Help maintain and strengthen internal controls and accounting procedures
\n
• Contribute to the development and implementation of accounting policies and process improvements
\n
• Support cash flow monitoring and financial planning activities
\n
• Participate in special projects and corporate initiatives
\n
• Assist in driving automation efforts using tools such as Power BI, Power Automate, Alteryx, Excel, and other reporting platforms
\n
• Collaborate cross-functionally with leadership and operational teams
\n

Qualifications:

\n
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
\n
• 2+ years of progressive accounting experience for Staff level; additional experience preferred for Senior level consideration
\n
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles
\n
• Experience with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills
\n
• Exposure to financial reporting, reconciliations, and month-end close processes
\n
• Analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving abilities
\n
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
\n
• Ability to communicate financial information to both financial and non-financial stakeholders
\n
• CPA, MBA, or other professional certifications are a plus
\n
• Experience with Power BI, Alteryx, Tableau, Python, Vena, or similar reporting and automation tools is highly desirable
