Senior Payroll Specialist

A well-established company in downtown Chicago is seeking a Senior Payroll Specialist to join their team temporarily through February/March. This temporary opportunity offers a competitive pay rate of up to $46/hour, depending on experience. It is ideal for a detail-oriented payroll professional with strong Paychex experience looking to contribute their expertise in a fast-paced environment. Experience with Paychex is a must. Working closely with the team, this individual will assist with payroll processing, employee record maintenance, onboarding and offboarding administration, and benefits-related tasks to help ensure accurate payroll operations and efficient employee support. Mack & Associates offers benefits including medical, PTO and 401k.Please double check you have the right level of experience and qualifications by reading the full overview of this opportunity below.Responsibilities of the Senior Payroll Specialist:Process payroll accurately and efficiently using Paychex while ensuring timely completion of payroll cycles.Review payroll data, verify employee information, and resolve discrepancies as needed.Maintain accurate payroll records, employee files, and confidential documentation with exceptional attention to detail.Assist with employee onboarding and offboarding processes, including paperwork and system updates.Support COBA administration and maintain accurate employee benefits information.Assist with benefits enrollment and respond to employee questions regarding payroll and related administrative matters.Support the team with additional payroll and administrative responsibilities to ensure smooth daily operations.Qualifications of the Senior Payroll Specialist:Previous experience in payroll processing or payroll administration is required.Hands-on experience with Paychex is a must.Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Experience with employee onboarding, offboarding, COBA administration, or benefits enrollment is a plus.Excellent attention to detail with strong data entry and recordkeeping skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to handle confidential information professionally. xhyhwjd Self-motivated, adaptable, and able to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.B-2 Mack & Associates
