Details Med/Surg Tele unit setting Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00-07:30 Weekend and holiday rotations based on operational need Floating required as needed Uses Epic charting system Requirements Active WI or compact RN license required AHA BLS certification required Minimum 2 years of experience in a Med/Surg Tele unit required Acute care experience within the last 3 years in the specialty required for inpatient RN travelers Epic EMR experience required, within past 12 months preferred Must pass a telemetry exam prior to starting, including 100% identification of lethal rhythms and 80% or higher passing score on adult and pediatric exams Additional Information Provide nursing care on a Med/Surg Tele unit including cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, and IV therapy Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred Skills in wound care, respiratory management, and GI/GU care are valued Must reside within 50 miles of the facility; local candidates not accepted Two attempts allowed to pass telemetry exam; a third attempt requires completion of a cardiac interpretation review course First-time travelers considered if candidate has 3 years of recent inpatient med/surg/tele experience Free onsite parking available American Traveler Job ID P-772829.
