Job Role
- Design Tailored Treatment Approaches: Assess patient needs and craft individualized therapy plans aimed at reaching their functional aspirations.
- Implement Therapeutic Techniques: Apply evidence-based practices to bolster patients' motor skills, cognitive abilities, and daily living activities.
- Collaborate with Multidisciplinary Teams: Engage closely with fellow OTs, PTs, STs, physicians, and nursing staff to ensure comprehensive and holistic care.
- Educate Patients and Families: Provide instruction to patients and their caregivers on therapy techniques that facilitate ongoing progress at home.
- Track and Adapt Treatment Plans: Monitor progress and document outcomes, adjusting therapies as necessary to ensure patients remain on track.
Qualifications
- Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited university.
- Commitment to continuing education and pursuing additional post-graduate certifications.
Certifications
- Valid Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) license.
- NBCOT certification is mandatory.
