Corporate Associate – Mergers & Acquisitions (2–8 Years) Location: New York City or Long Island, NY Work Arrangement: Hybrid Schedule with Work-From-Home Flexibility Compensation: $175,000–$225,000 Base Salary + Bonus + Strong Annual Raises A highly respected New York-based law firm is seeking a Corporate Associate with 2–8 years of experience to join its growing Mergers & Acquisitions and Corporate practice. This attorney will work directly with senior leadership on sophisticated M&A transactions representing both buyers and sellers across a variety of industries, while also advising clients on broader corporate and transactional matters. This is an outstanding opportunity for an attorney seeking hands-on deal experience, significant client exposure, strong mentorship, and a realistic path toward long-term advancement and partnership. Responsibilities Represent buyers and sellers in mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic transactions. Work on private equity-backed transactions, strategic acquisitions, and industry-specific deals. Draft, review, and negotiate transaction documents, including: Stock Purchase Agreements Asset Purchase Agreements Operating Agreements Shareholder Agreements Investor Rights Agreements Ancillary transaction documents and related corporate materials Advise clients on entity formation, governance, compliance, and general corporate matters. Conduct legal research and analysis related to transactional and regulatory issues. Communicate directly with founders, executives, sponsors, investors, family offices, and other stakeholders. Assist in managing transactions from letter of intent through closing. Qualifications Active admission and good standing with the New York Bar. 2–8 years of relevant M&A and corporate transactional experience. New Jersey admission is a plus. Strong drafting, negotiation, analytical, and project management skills. Ability to thrive in a collaborative, entrepreneurial, and fast-paced environment. Experience managing multiple matters simultaneously while maintaining exceptional client service. Base salary ranging from $175,000 to $225,000 , commensurate with experience.
