CT Technologist

Job Title

Pay Rate: $65 per hour - $75 per hour

Shift Timings: M-F 12am-8am

Summary:

Perform CT procedures using appropriate techniques to ensure quality diagnostic images.

Graduate of Radiologic Technologist with at least 1 year of CT experience.

Responsibilities:

• Utilize appropriate kV and mA techniques for quality diagnostic CT images.
• Perform daily quality control calibration checks on all equipment to ensure proper functioning before any patient study.
• Inject patients with radioactive material as per physician's orders following the prescribed protocol.
• Comply with department documentation policies by completing all appropriate logs, manuals, and charge documents.
• Report equipment problems to comply with regulatory agencies.
• Perform quality control, quality assurance, and safety tests following radiation safety guidelines to comply with the ALARA principle.
• Maintain and develop patient films and electronic data for Radiologist interpretation.
• Order patient-specific radiopharmaceutical doses 1-day prior to use.
• Receive radiopharmaceuticals on the day of delivery and verify proper receipt as per policy and procedure.
• Verify activity level of the dose prior to administration.

Requirements:

• Graduate of a JCERT approved School of Radiologic Technology.
• New York State License (L.R.T).
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT Certified).
• BLS certification.

Preferred Skills:

• Perform CT procedures according to prescribed protocols to ensure uniformity and accuracy.
• Exercise appropriate judgment to assess and respond to patient's needs before, during, and after visits in the Radiology department.
