Job Description
Cath Lab Registered Nurse (RN) Department Cardiology, Cardiac Cath Lab Employment Status Full Time Shift Days, 0800-1630 + call rotation. On-call required every 2-3 weekends, 1-3 times per week. Job Summary The Cath Lab Registered Nurse (RN) will deliver exceptional patient care to adult and geriatric populations, ensuring safety, comfort, and high-quality outcomes throughout all cardiovascular procedures. This position involves providing holistic support, addressing the physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs of patients in a surgical and procedural environment. Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with physicians, providing continuous updates and timely communication regarding patient status before, during, and after procedures.
- Prepare and maintain procedure rooms, ensuring all equipment is functioning properly, calibrated, and ready for use.
- Manage supplies and inventory, gathering case-specific materials to ensure the Cath Lab team has everything required for efficient workflow.
- Monitor physiologic and hemodynamic data during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, ensuring accurate interpretation and rapid response to changes.
- Continuously assess and document patient condition while they are in the Cardiovascular Lab, maintaining thorough and precise records.
- Support quality initiatives by participating in performance improvement and continuous quality improvement (CQI) activities to enhance patient care and operational excellence.
- At least one year of hands-on clinical experience in a Cardiovascular Lab with cardiac procedures or in a Critical Care environment.
- Bachelor Degree in Nursing (BSN); preferred.
- Active state Registered Nursing (RN) License; required.
- Current BCLS (AHA) and ACLS certifications upon hire and maintained; required.
