Registered Nurse – IMC/PCU/Stepdown

Location

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights (3x12-Hour Shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite | Block Schedule Required | Every Other Weekend Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Progressive Care/Step-Down unit within a Short Term Acute Care / Level III Trauma Center setting
• Maintain expected nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:4
• Document patient care and clinical information using Epic EMR
• Participate in holiday coverage, with an expectation to work 3 of the following 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
• May be expected to float between sister facilities nearby the contracted facility as needed
• Complete required orientation modules prior to and during the start of assignment

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license; compact license must be in hand at time of submission
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• Minimum of 1 year of PCU/Step-Down RN experience required
• Must submit 2 professional references covering at least 1 year of experience within the last 3 years (may include Charge RNs or Leads)
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience working in a Level III Trauma Center or similar acute care environment
• Familiarity with Epic EMR charting system
• Experience with block scheduling in a travel or contract capacity
