Merchandise and Stocking Associate

Overview Base pay range: $17.00/hr - $24.00/hr This merchandising & stocking associate role supports Sam’s Club members by ensuring products are available and easy to find. Responsibilities may include moving inventory in the backroom, unloading trucks, fulfilling club pick-up orders, stocking shelves, and assisting members. The position can be physically demanding and fast-paced depending on the shift. Responsibilities Promptly unload trucks Assist fellow associates as needed throughout the store Sort and stock products on shelves and in the backroom Engage with vendors and drivers with a positive attitude Maintain a clean, neat, and member-ready area Ensure club pick up orders are filled and staged according to policy What you’ll do Provide member service by acknowledging the member and identifying needs; assist with self-service technology and purchasing decisions; locate merchandise; resolve issues; promote products and services Maintain facility safety per company policies; conduct safety sweeps; follow forklift procedures; handle and dispose of hazardous materials safely; report unsafe conditions Maintain sales floor and merchandising presentation; zone areas; stock and organize; set up displays; price and sign merchandise; identify shrink and damages Monitor quality and rotation of food and merchandise; ensure proper dating, recalls, and sanitation; display promotional and seasonal items Comply with company policies and ethics; apply Open Door Policy in daily tasks Complete work assignments by prioritizing tasks, communicating progress, and adapting to change Support club pick up orders by selecting and staging items per policy Benefits & compensation Health benefits include medical, vision and dental coverage Financial benefits include 401(k), stock purchase, and company-paid life insurance Paid time off benefits include PTO, parental leave, family care leave, bereavement, jury duty, and voting; PTO/PPTO details depend on classification and tenure Other benefits include disability coverage, employee discounts, Military Leave Pay, and other reimbursements Live Better U education benefit program details for eligible associates Qualifications Minimum and preferred qualifications are listed in the official posting; this section will be provided during the hiring process.
