ARN - Post Anesthesia Care Unit Nurse

Join a dedicated healthcare team as a Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Registered Nurse, providing compassionate and professional nursing care in a dynamic clinical environment. This full-time day shift role involves planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care in accordance with established policies and standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess patients and identify their care needs promptly and accurately.
• Organize and deliver appropriate nursing care based on patient assessments.
• Maintain a safe and supportive environment for patients recovering from anesthesia.
• Administer medications as prescribed by physicians and monitor patient responses.
• Recognize and respond effectively to life-threatening situations.
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient care records.
• Serve as charge nurse when assigned, demonstrating leadership and organizational skills.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.
• Support patients' cultural and spiritual needs within the scope of medical care.

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing is required; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is preferred.

Experience

No prior experience required; new graduates are welcome to apply.

Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse licensure in a Compact state or the relevant regional licensure.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage age-specific physiological, psychosocial, developmental, and spiritual needs of patients.
• Physical stamina for standing, walking, bending, and lifting during shifts.
