Dispatch Communications Associate 2 - FOP Department: Health System Shared Services | Security Location: University Hospital – Rhodes Hall (0354) – Regular Schedule (40 hours, varying shifts) Summary: Receives and relays radio communications, telephone calls, pages, overhead announcements, correspondences, and teletypes. Monitors door position, burglary, fire, panic, and environmental alarms. Maintains a working knowledge of all operational security systems and surveillance equipment. Ensures accurate daily logs are completed and quality assurance is maintained at all times. Responsibilities Monitor and respond to security alerts and alarms. Operate telecommunication, radio access control, and CCTV equipment. Maintain accurate records and daily logs. Serve as a courteous liaison between the Department of Security, Hospital staff, patients, visitors, and external law enforcement, fire, and EMS entities. Alert supervisor or manager about equipment problems promptly. Multi‑task while upholding a professional demeanor in a fast‑paced environment. Qualifications Good computer and data entry skills. Strong verbal communication and teamwork skills. Ability to multitask and manage accurate record‑keeping. Background check clearance (pre‑employment).
