Are you an experienced caregiver with a passion for helping clients with complex care needs remain safe, comfortable, and independent at home? SYNERGY HomeCare of Conover is seeking compassionate and dependable Specialized Caregivers to provide high-quality non-medical care during weekend shifts.

This position is ideal for caregivers with experience supporting clients living with Alzheimer's disease, dementia, Parkinson's disease, mobility limitations, hospice needs, fall risks, and other higher-acuity conditions.

Pay

$15.50–$21.00 per hour

Compensation is based on experience, qualifications, reliability, availability, and level of care provided.

Weekend Availability Requirement

Applicants must have flexible weekend availability and be willing to work day, mid-shift, evening, and overnight assignments based on client needs.

Responsibilities:

• Provide compassionate companionship and emotional support

• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and personal care

• Support clients with Alzheimer's disease, dementia, and memory-related conditions

• Provide safety supervision and fall prevention support

• Assist with mobility, transfers, ambulation, and gait belt use

• Assist with meal preparation and light housekeeping

• Provide medication reminders

• Support clients receiving hospice and end-of-life comfort care

• Observe and report changes in client condition

• Maintain professional communication with clients, families, and office staff

Experience with one or more of the following:

• Alzheimer's disease and dementia care

• Dementia-related behaviors

• Parkinson's disease

• Hospice support

• Fall-risk clients

• Transfer assistance

• Gait belt use

• Lift assistance

• Hoyer lift experience

• Stroke recovery support

• Mobility impairments

• Incontinence care

• Overnight caregiving

• Family caregiver support

  Qualifications

• Minimum one year of professional caregiving experience preferred

• CNA, PCA, Home Health Aide, or equivalent caregiving experience welcomed

• Reliable transportation

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently in clients' homes

• Must successfully pass a background check

Important Note: This is a non-medical home care position. CNAs are encouraged to apply; however, all caregivers, including CNAs, provide non-medical services in accordance with the client's care plan and North Carolina home care regulations. No skilled nursing services or medical procedures are performed in this role.
