You have built a company or led its earliest engineering chapter. Now choose the next founder and problem worthy of that experience. Dynamism is speaking with several New York startups looking for a Head of Engineering who can own the function from day one, stay close to the product, and build a team without giving up the craft of engineering.

Dynamism partners with several post-PMF New York startups, including Series A companies, whose founders need a senior technical partner to turn product ambition into shipped software. This is an open search across those teams. We will share the company, founder, stage, stack, and equity for each specific match before you decide whether to proceed.

What you'll own

In the right match, you would be the founder's engineering counterpart. The work combines early architecture, hands-on delivery, hiring, and the judgment to decide which standards a growing company needs now.

• Set technical direction with the founder and own the engineering roadmap.
• Ship alongside the team, review code, and make consequential architecture calls.
• Hire and mentor engineers while building a clear bar for quality and ownership.
• Translate customer and business priorities into focused delivery.
• Take responsibility for releases, production issues, and the team's pace.
  

Problems you'll solve

A founder needs more than a senior coder and more than a manager. You will make trade-offs with imperfect information, help a product find its next stage of growth, and build an engineering function that can keep learning as the team expands.

Candidate fit

• You have founded a technical company or led engineering in an early startup.
• You have shipped product personally and led others through production work.
• You can move from strategy to a difficult pull request without friction.
• You communicate directly, disagree without ego, and own the result.
• You are based in New York and can work in person 4 days per week.
