You will play a vital role in ensuring that Lightship procures high-quality goods and services at the most competitive prices while adhering to proper processes, policies, and regulations. This role will report directly to a Global Supply Chain Manager and will execute the procurement plans according to their direction and guidance.ResponsibilitiesSupplier Management: Maintain relationships with global suppliers, ensuring consistent quality and timely deliveries.Product Development Support: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide supply chain insights, ensuring cost-effective, quick, and efficient product development.Supply Chain Optimization: Continuously assess and enhance supply chain efficiency, focusing on cost reduction and lead time minimization.Cost Management: Monitor and control supply chain costs, identifying opportunities for cost savings with suppliers.Process Improvement: Identify and create process improvements to maintain an efficient Supply Chain.Risk Management: Identify and analyze potential supply chain risks to ensure uninterrupted business operations.Data Analysis: Utilize data-driven insights for informed decision-making and support of strategic initiatives.Minimum Qualifications2+ years supply chain experience with strong supplier relationship experience and sourcing knowledge or equivalentStrong analytical, strategic, and problem-solving skillsWorking knowledge of ERP Systems with specific experience creating PO's, executing Item Receipts, updating Item Inventory Cards and Vendor Information, as well as executing Inventory Adjustments with appropriate Financial detailsExperience in fostering relationships with new and current supply basesAbility to prioritize while multi taskingExcellent verbal and written communication skillsPreferred QualificationsBachelor's degree in supply chain management, business, engineering, or related fieldExperience in initiating and executing Logistics plans for shipments from SuppliersAbility to read technical drawings and specifications as well as basic knowledge of manufacturing process controls and quality assuranceFamiliarity with Non-Disclosure Agreements, General Terms & Conditions, Piece Price Agreements, and other related contracts is a bonusPreferred Systems Experience: Netsuite ERP, Jira, Confluence, Google SuiteAbility to work in a fast paced quickly changing environment with minimal supervisionEquityLightship compensation consists of the yearly salary above plus equity, which gives you a stake in the company.$65,000 - $80,000 a yearEmployee Benefits & Philosophy - Applies to Full Time Employees onlyHealthcare, Dental, Vision401kFlexible Paid Time Off - that we actually want you to use!13 Company Holidays: 8 throughout the year + the company observes a week of scheduled downtime during the end of the year, allowing all employees to enjoy a break12 weeks paid parental leaveYearly LightTrip stipend for an RV trip &/or professional development opportunitiesLightship offers all of its full time employees and their dependents full benefits including health, dental and vision insurance.
