AR/AP Accounting Specialist

About the Role
\nOur client is looking for an experienced, detail-driven Accounting Specialist to own accounts receivable and accounts payable processing and support month-end close. This role suits a self-directed problem solver who enjoys digging into historical data to find and fix discrepancies.
\n \nWhat You'll Do
\n- \n
- Post and apply customer payments, resolve unapplied cash, and reconcile AR aging \n
- Follow up with customers on past-due balances \n
- Process and code vendor invoices, match them to purchase orders, and run weekly payments (check, ACH, wire) \n
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve invoice, purchase order and payment discrepancies \n
- Perform customer, vendor and general ledger reconciliations, and support month-end close and audits \n
- Help document and improve accounting processes and controls \n
What You Bring
\n- \n
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or business, or 5+ years of AP and AR experience \n
- Strong reconciliation skills and working knowledge of GAAP \n
- ERP experience, with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central preferred \n
- Advanced Excel skills \n
- Excellent accuracy, organization and communication \n
