We accomplish this through an intense commitment to safety, quality service, excellence, and partnerships. Job Description Recruit eligible youth for Job Corps Program. Conduct outreach activities in communities, agencies, American Job Centers, and public events. Responsible for meeting departmental and center goals and objectives. Conduct orientation and interview with applicants including parent in case of minors. Perform applicant files procedures (data entry, scan documents on e-file). Participate in departmental meetings. Coordinate with centers to support applicants in travel arrangements. Perform Quality Assurance Checks on all applicant files. Assess graduates/former trainee's placement readiness, provide appropriate referrals and accompanying support services in accordance with DOL, Center, and Equus requirements. Ensure timely placement and retention of assigned graduates and former enrollees in quality jobs, the military, or further education and training opportunities. Promote job development through direct contact with employers, One‑Stops, JTPA, and State Employment Agencies. Clearly communicate and consistently model appropriate CSS and employability skills. Maintain accountability of staff, students, and property. Adhere to safety practices in all areas of responsibility. Foster and sustain a conducive environment at the center, ensuring it remains free from harassment, intimidation, and disrespect, thereby ensuring a safe space for both staff and students to engage in work and learning. Attend all required staff training opportunities. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Above average public speaking skills and experience in same. Above average verbal and written skills. Above average problem solving and conflict resolution skills. Computer literacy; specifically, Internet, e‑mail, and Word Perfect/Word. Ability to work some evening hours and periodic weekends. Ability to travel periodically. Four years’ experience working with youths ages 16‑24. Education: Bachelor’s Degree. 15 Semester hours of psychology is preferred. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Valid State Driver’s License.
