Key Responsibilities Manage a caseload of clients, developing therapeutic relationships founded on trust and ethical standards. Conduct comprehensive intake assessments to evaluate clients' mental health backgrounds and personal situations. Create, implement, and regularly update individualized treatment plans that respond to the unique needs and goals of each client. Provide ongoing therapy through weekly individual sessions, dedicated to monitoring client progress and adapting strategies accordingly. Document client interactions meticulously, ensuring that all records reflect accurate and up-to-date information. Engage in regular supervision sessions for professional development and support, enhancing clinical skills and addressing challenges. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists and social workers, to ensure integrated care for clients. Maintain a growth mindset, continuously seeking opportunities for personal and professional improvement in therapeutic methods. Patient Population / Client Focus The clients you will serve at Spence Mind Counseling Center encompass a variety of backgrounds and experiences, including but not limited to individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, substance abuse, and eating disorders. You will have the opportunity to utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), which are essential in fostering client resilience and recovery. Qualifications A Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field is required. A current and unrestricted license as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Oregon is essential. At least one year of clinical experience in an outpatient setting, post-graduation, demonstrating a solid foundation in mental health practices. Exceptional critical thinking, communication, and listening skills are essential for effective client interaction. Preferred Experience Experience working with diverse populations and a range of mental health conditions is highly valued. Familiarization with telehealth platforms and virtual counseling practices will enhance your ability to connect with clients. Compensation and Benefits This role offers a competitive yearly salary ranging from USD 75,000 to 90,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
