House Sitter Wanted - Responsible House Sitter Needed In Harlingen, Texas

I am a professional engineer and homeowner looking for a reliable, responsible, and trustworthy house sitter to care for my home in Harlingen, Texas, while I am away. Because of my work, I travel frequently and manage properties in several different states. I currently have five homes, so I understand how important it is to have someone dependable who can look after a property properly and communicate clearly. I also have children and a busy family schedule, which makes having someone responsible and respectful around the home especially important. I am looking for someone who treats a home with care and understands the importance of privacy, security, cleanliness, and responsibility. ### Position Details

• Location:** Harlingen, Texas
• Pay:** $200 per day
• Position:** House Sitter
• Schedule:** Flexible, depending on my travel schedule
• Experience:** Previous house-sitting experience is helpful but not required

Responsibilities Your main responsibility will be keeping the property safe, secure, and well-maintained while I am away. Duties may include:

• Staying at or regularly checking on the property as agreed
• Keeping the house clean and organized
• Collecting mail and packages
• Taking out trash when necessary
• Checking doors, windows, and basic security
• Looking after plants
• Caring for pets, if applicable
• Notifying me promptly about maintenance issues or anything unusual
• Handling basic household tasks
• Being available to respond appropriately to unexpected household situations
• Providing regular updates so I know everything is in good condition

I am not looking for someone to perform complicated maintenance or professional services. I mainly need someone dependable who will treat the property respectfully and make sure everything remains in good order. ### What I’m Looking For The right person should be:

• Trustworthy and responsible
• Respectful of personal property and privacy
• Clean and organized
• Reliable and punctual
• Comfortable communicating through phone or messaging
• Attentive to details
• Able to follow simple instructions
• Mature enough to handle unexpected situations calmly
• Comfortable caring for a home as if it were their own

Privacy is very important to me. I expect the person I hire to respect the home, personal belongings, family information, and household routines. ### Why This Could Be a Good Opportunity This position would be a good fit for someone who enjoys a quiet environment, is responsible, and wants a flexible house-sitting opportunity with competitive daily pay. I am looking for a long-term, trustworthy relationship rather than someone who simply wants a short-term job. If everything works well, there may be opportunities to assist with my other properties when I travel. If you are interested, please send me a message introducing yourself, briefly explaining your house-sitting or household experience, your availability, and why you believe you would be a good fit. I look forward to hearing from responsible individuals who take pride in their work and understand the importance of taking good care of someone's home.
