At Valley Presbyterian Hospital, we are committed to delivering exceptional patient care and advancing clinical excellence. We’re seeking a Clinical Director, Perioperative Services to lead and elevate our surgical services across the organization.

This is a high-impact leadership role overseeing the Operating Room, Pre-Op, PACU, GI/Endoscopy, and Sterile Processing, with direct influence on patient outcomes, operational performance, and service line growth.

What You’ll Do

Lead day-to-day operations across all perioperative services
Drive OR efficiency, patient throughput, and resource utilization
Champion quality, safety, and infection prevention initiatives
Build and develop high-performing clinical teams
Partner with surgeons, anesthesia, and executive leadership
Manage budgets, labor, and capital planning
Ensure compliance with regulatory standards (TJC, CMS, OSHA)

What You Bring

5+ years RN experience in acute care, including perioperative services
3+ years leadership experience (Manager/Director level)
Proven ability to lead surgical operations and drive performance
Strong experience with OR workflows, staffing, and throughput
Ability to influence physicians and cross-functional leaders

Requirements

Current RN license (California)
Bachelor’s degree required (BSN preferred)
Master’s degree (MSN, MHA, MBA, or related) required
BLS certification
LA City Fire Card within 30 days

Preferred

CNOR and/or NE-BC / NEA-BC
Experience leading multi-unit perioperative departments
